Position Overview
The Healthcare Sales Specialist (Outreach Specialist) drives community engagement and enrollment growth through strategic outreach initiatives. Unlike traditional sales roles, this position centers on relationship development, education, and partnership-building with community referral sources.
This role is ideal for professionals who excel in consultative engagement and community relationship management rather than high-pressure sales environments.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute community outreach activities and events
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with referral sources, including:
Senior centers
Assisted living facilities
Churches
Food banks
Community-based organizations
Generate qualified referrals and support enrollment growth
Educate community partners on available healthcare services and program eligibility
Develop and implement monthly outreach and marketing strategies
Track outreach activities and referral pipelines using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
Qualifications
Experience
2–5 years of professional experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or marketing
Healthcare or senior care industry experience preferred
Outside sales or field marketing experience strongly preferred
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
Additional Requirements
Ability to obtain state-required marketing certification within 30 days of hire
Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce
Willingness to travel locally for community outreach and engagement
