What We’re Looking For:
We are searching for a coach who:
- Brings energy, consistency, and leadership every day
- Has knowledge of distance training, conditioning, and injury prevention
- Emphasizes mental toughness, accountability, and team culture
- Can develop runners of all levels—from beginners to elite competitors
- Communicates effectively with athletes, parents, and staff
- Builds connections with track & field programs for year-round success
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the Cross Country program (7–12)
- Plan and implement daily practices, meets, and offseason training
- Develop individualized and team training plans
- Organize meet schedules, travel, and team logistics
- Build and promote a strong feeder/youth program
- Ensure compliance with Missouri State High School Activities Association rules and regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching or competitive running experience preferred
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to build and sustain a competitive program
