Job Title: Quality Engineer – Plastics
Employment Type: 90-Day Contract-to-Hire
Overview:
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements within a plastics manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and improve quality systems and processes within the plastics department.

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.

Conduct inspections, internal audits, and testing to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to address quality concerns and improve processes.

Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

Support new product launches and ensure adherence to specifications and quality requirements.

Prepare and maintain documentation, including quality reports, work instructions, and SOPs.

Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred.

2 years of quality engineering experience, ideally within plastics or manufacturing.

Knowledge of FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and root cause analysis tools.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.

Analytical abilities with attention to detail.

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
