Are you an Operations Manager or Director from a landscaping, grounds maintenance, or service-based background, looking to take full ownership of operations at a growing business and progress into a COO position within the next 5 years?

This company are an established, independently owned business with a longstanding workforce and ambitious growth plans. Unlike many businesses within their industry, they remain privately owned and offer an autonomous, family-oriented environment with less corporate red tape.
In this role, you will oversee operations across landscaping, grounds maintenance, and snow services, directly leading 2-3 Production Managers and indirectly overseeing approximately 75 employees across multiple crews. You will take ownership of scheduling, safety, training, project delivery, budgets, KPIs, and operational performance across approximately 150 commercial sites.
You will initially spend extensive time alongside the Owner/CEO to learn the business, alongside further leadership and industry-specific training. Longer-term, you will have the opportunity to progress into COO within approximately five years as the company continues to grow.
This role would suit an Operations Manager or Director from a landscaping, grounds maintenance, or similar service-based background, looking for an autonomous leadership position with a clear pathway into executive leadership.
The Role:
- Lead 2-3 Production Managers and indirectly oversee approximately 75 employees across landscaping, grounds maintenance, and snow operations
- Take ownership of crew scheduling, safety, training, project delivery, budgets, KPIs, and operational performance
- Work directly with the CEO, with further leadership training and a long-term pathway to COO
The Person:
- Operations Manager, Director of Operations, or similar operations leader
- Service industry background; landscaping, grounds maintenance, turf, or similar strongly preferred
- Strong people leadership experience across multiple crews; Spanish-speaking or experience leading Hispanic workforces advantageous
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
