In this role, you will be a hands-on engineer working directly on the shop floor, supporting assembly and test operations while identifying and solving real-world manufacturing challenges. You will be responsible for reviewing and improving existing processes using lean manufacturing techniques, interpreting engineering drawings, and ensuring products are built to customer and quality standards.
This role would suit a Sr Manufacturing/CI Engineer who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems on the shop floor, and is looking to join a stable, well-renowned manufacturer offering long-term progression and excellent benefits.
The Role:
- Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams
- Identify, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes using Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies
- Interpret engineering drawings to support production and troubleshooting
- Assist with production planning, manpower, and equipment requirements to meet schedules
The Person:
- Experience in Manufacturing Engineering within a production environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement techniques
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
