About the RoleAre you passionate about helping others gain independence and confidence through real-world learning? We’re looking for a part-time Adult Skills Trainer to lead fun, hands-on life skills trainings for adults with mild intellectual and developmental disabilities.You’ll work in small groups and one-on-one settings, using community locations like grocery stores, libraries, parks, and public transit to teach essential life skills. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being active, creative, and making a real impact in people’s lives.What You’ll DoLead engaging life skills workshops in areas like:Grocery shopping and budgetingPublic transportationJob readiness and communicationCooking and nutritionCommunity safety and awarenessTransport clients in company vehicles (8-9 passenger vans)Work with co-leaders and community partners to plan and deliver trainingsSupport participants in reaching their personal goalsDocument progress and provide feedback to help participants growCreate a positive, inclusive, and empowering learning environmentAM or PM 4-5 hour day; Monday-FridayWhat We’re Looking ForRequired:High school diploma or GEDExperience working with people with disabilities (personal or professional)Must possess and maintain a valid CA driver’s license and at least state-minimum car insuranceMust be at least 25 years of age (for insurance purposes)Must possess a clean driving record (no moving violations, at-fault accidents, etc.)Must have moderate smart cell phone and computer skills. Possess a valid certificate of completion of first aid and CPR training Maintain current and valid licenses, certificates, or registrations that may be legally required to provide the service. Must pass a background check. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance.
