What are the responsibilities and job description for the Independent Living Specialist/Trainer Spanish Speaking position at American Living Skills?
- Provides 1:1 training to the consumer in the home and community
- Maintain data regarding consumer progress.
- Maintains continuous communication with Supervisor about programs and their effectiveness
- Provide support, instruction, assistance, and monitoring to address the goals and objectives outlined on the consumers' ISP.
- Responsible for creating/offering instruction in independent living skills to developmentally disabled adults in natural settings.
- Develop educational materials for assigned clients, and maintain individual progress records/reports with a supervisor.
- Communicate to the Program Director and Supervisor concerns about the program, the client’s progress, and needs.
- Assist with any medical/dental appointments, banking needs, or Social Security appointments.
- Complete online training provided by the agency.
- Create the most independent living situation possible.
- Perform other tasks/coverups requested by the Program Director and Supervisor.
Job Type: Part-time
