Controller – Financial Reporting
FLSA: Exempt
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Physical Requirements: Must sit at computer for extended periods of time
Hours of Work: Full-time, M-F 8:30a-4:30p
Pay Range: The pay range is $94,587 to $128,606
Job Summary:
The Controller is responsible for the oversight of financial statement preparation, budget preparation and internal controls and procedures for the Business Office. The position supervises staff accountants and other Business Office personnel in accordance with department needs.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Five years of progressive accounting experience in a management position.
- CPA Certification is preferred
- Excellent financial analysis capabilities.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Knowledge of NYS Medicaid reimbursement preferred.
Major Responsibilities:
- Directs business office in preparation of financial reports following generally accepted accounting principles.
- Works with Executive Management and Program Directors to develop budgets and forecasts.
- Assists CFO to develop and carry out long - term financial goals, for both operational and capital needs.
- Prepares and/or directs monthly financial statements for all entities.
- Ensures that all corporate and regulatory reports are filed in a timely manner.
- Supervises Business Office Management and Support Staff.
- Assists CFO and Executive Management with Special Projects as Assigned.
