What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Global Supply Chain position at LHH?
We’re working with a fast-growing food production company based just outside of Portland to identify their next Vice President of Supply Chain. This is an exciting role for a dynamic leader who can balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution, helping guide a rapidly scaling organization through its next phase of growth.
This position combines long-term vision with day-to-day operational oversight. You’ll lead and develop a high-performing team covering planning, warehousing, logistics, and customer support, while also taking the reins on a major expansion project. Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy across demand planning, logistics, inventory control, and warehousing
- Direct the planning and rollout of a new large-scale warehouse, including design, automation, and systems implementation
- Manage and mentor direct reports across supply chain disciplines, while encouraging cross-functional collaboration
- Align production and inventory planning with commercial forecasts
- Oversee inbound and outbound transportation, including 3PL partnerships
- Advance performance through process optimization, technology upgrades, and KPI tracking
Requirements:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in supply chain management within fast-paced, high-growth industries
- Strong expertise in logistics, planning, inventory, and 3PL management
- Solid knowledge of ERP platforms (SAP experience preferred) and data-driven decision-making
- Background in leading large capital projects, including warehouse design and automation initiatives
- Ability to build scalable teams and systems while driving organizational growth
