Temp Litigation Legal Assistant (Onsite) — Charlotte, NC (Dilworth)
About the role
Our client—an established litigation practice in Charlotte—needs a Litigation Legal Assistant to start immediately and support trial prep for an early‑January matter.
What you’ll do
- Manage high‑volume case documents and litigation files with top‑tier organization
- Draft, format, and proof correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials
- Coordinate calendars, deadlines, and court dates; assist with trial preparation
- Communicate with attorneys, staff, and vendors with professionalism and urgency
- Support the broader litigation team; provide overflow help and receptionist backup as needed
What we’re looking for
- Legal assistant or litigation support experience
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel; Office 2010 or later), PDF software, and familiarity with document management tools (DM), Workshare, and Juris Suite
- Exceptional attention to detail, accurate typing and proofreading, and the ability to juggle multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment
- Clear, professional communication and a collaborative mindset
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (1‑hour lunch)
Location: Fully onsite in the Dilworth area, just outside Uptown (free parking)
Compensation: $24–$26/hr
