Job Summary:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support our clients accounting operations during a 6-month assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, experience with general ledger activities, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
Perform monthly account reconciliations and analysis (e.g., bank accounts, accruals, prepaid expenses).
Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes.
Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and record depreciation entries.
Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
Assist with accounts payable functions, including entering AP vouchers and processing payment runs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with SAP (preferred).
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
