Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly payroll.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee payroll documentation.
- Support certified payroll reporting and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and reconcile union-related reports and filings.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
- Respond to payroll-related phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with accounting, HR, and operations teams to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and payroll reconciliations.
- Provide support for additional accounting and administrative functions as needed.
- Follow established payroll procedures, internal controls, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience.
- Experience processing payroll for a large employee population preferred.
- Union payroll experience.
- Construction industry experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
