Sr. Manager, FP&A
LHH is partnering with a growing mid-market, product-based organization seeking a Sr. Manager, FP&A to lead the company's financial planning and analysis function.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this highly visible role will lead a team of three and serve as a key business partner across the organization. The position offers broad exposure to executive leadership while overseeing budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, cash flow planning, and strategic financial analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FP&A leader or strong number two looking to step into a broader leadership role within a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
• Own monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting packages
• Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic decision making and business performance
• Manage cash flow forecasting and support lender and debt reporting requirements
• Partner closely with sales, operations, and functional leaders to drive profitability and operational performance
• Provide actionable insights on revenue, margins, working capital, and key business drivers
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of three FP&A professionals while driving process improvements and scalability across the finance organization
Qualifications
• Must be located in the Chicago area or able to reliably commute to the office in the western suburbs on a hybrid schedule
• 8 years of progressive FP&A, finance, or related experience
• Experience leading a full P&L FP&A function or serving as the number two finance leader in a complex business environment
• Product-based industry experience required, including manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, or related sectors
• Prior experience within a private equity-backed organization strongly preferred
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and analytical capabilities
• Demonstrated success partnering cross functionally with sales, operations, and executive leadership teams
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing finance teams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present insights to senior leadership

Compensation & Benefits
• Base salary: $160,000 - $180,000
• Target bonus: 10%
