Finance Manager (Senior Quantitative Financial Analyst)
A leading financial services organization is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager / Senior Quantitative Financial Analyst to support enterprise-wide market risk management initiatives. This role focuses on managing large historical market data sets and leading data governance efforts that support Value at Risk (VaR), Stressed VaR (SVaR), and other critical market risk metrics. It’s a strong opportunity for an experienced risk professional to work closely with methodology, risk, and technology teams in a high-impact environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead data governance for historical market data supporting VaR and SVaR calculations
- Manage large datasets used in market risk modeling and analytics
- Partner with Market Risk Methodology, Line of Business Risk Managers, and Technology teams to enhance risk processes
- Support the design, testing, implementation, and monitoring of market risk models
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of market risk data, models, and system requirements
- Communicate portfolio impact analysis, findings, and process updates to key stakeholders
- Provide oversight on quantitative risk implications related to regulatory changes and new product development
- Continuously enhance market risk models to reflect evolving business and market environments
What You Bring:
- 7–10 years of experience in quantitative financial analysis, market risk, or related roles
- Master’s degree (MBA or MS) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline
- Advanced understanding of mathematical principles underlying market risk models
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for financial time-series analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint presentation capabilities
- Solid knowledge of market data infrastructure, data flows, and enterprise risk systems
- Understanding of key risk drivers at the product, business, and firm-wide levels
- Excellent communication skills with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams
- Experience with operational aspects of market risk (model design, testing, and monitoring)
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

💵 Pay: $82–$84/hour (W2)
