LHH is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant on behalf of a manufacturing organization in the industrial sector. This organization is known for producing complex, high-quality products and has a long-standing reputation for operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, at least three years of relevant accounting experience, strong cost/inventory accounting knowledge, and advanced analytical and Excel skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain standard costs for inventoried parts and analyze inventory-related standard costs.
- Update cost systems to reflect factor and cost changes.
- Prepare delivery revenue and expense forecasts, including analysis of actual results.
- Prepare monthly journal entries, month-end analysis, account reconciliations, and related close activities.
- Develop and analyze monthly forecasts and budgets.
- Assist with inventory reconciliations and participate in physical inventory audits at manufacturing and offsite locations.
- Perform internal control and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) reviews and testing as assigned.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses for senior management and provide general accounting support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and accounting personnel across the organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting financial information to peers and management.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Salary : $100,000 - $105,000
