Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage a small team, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. This role requires a hands-on professional who can drive accountability, meet critical deadlines, and effectively communicate financial results to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage general accounting functions, including cash transactions, account reconciliations, and financial record maintenance.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as a primary liaison with external auditors.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, accuracy, and efficiency within the accounting function.
• Present financial information and insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Progressive accounting experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
• Prior audit experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage staff, drive accountability, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to executive stakeholders.
• Experience working within a mid-sized or larger organization preferred.
