LHH is working with a growing organization in Burlington County, NJ, that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting and financial reporting team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a CPA with a strong public accounting foundation, preferably from a Big 4 firm, who has hands-on experience with SEC reporting and is looking for a clearly defined path to Accounting Manager.
This highly visible role will partner closely with accounting leadership and play a critical role in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, technical accounting initiatives, internal controls, and financial reporting processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and other required disclosures
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP
- Participate in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and management reporting packages
- Collaborate with external auditors and assist with year-end audit activities
- Support the company's SOX compliance program, including documentation, testing, and remediation efforts
- Research and document technical accounting issues and new accounting pronouncements
- Prepare account reconciliations, balance sheet analyses, and variance explanations
- Assist with the implementation and enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and operational teams
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies within the accounting function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Active CPA preferred
- 3-7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with SEC reporting, including preparation of Forms 10-Q and 10-K
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills required
Compensation:
$85,000-$95,000
