What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiting Coordinator position at LHH?
LHH is partnering with an organization in the Lutherville, MD area to identify a contract Recruiter to support their growing team. This role will play a key part in sourcing, attracting, and evaluating top talent while partnering closely with hiring managers throughout the hiring process. As the primary point of contact for candidates and internal stakeholders, you'll ensure a positive, efficient, and engaging recruitment experience from start to finish.
This is a 1–3 month contract position paying $22–$24 per hour, depending on experience. The role requires working onsite five days per week. Experience using Indeed and an applicant tracking system (ATS) is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Source, identify, and engage qualified candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and referrals
- Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to attract high-quality talent
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs
- Conduct phone screens, evaluate candidate qualifications, and share detailed feedback with hiring managers
- Create, post, and manage clear and compelling job descriptions
- Serve as a professional brand ambassador in all candidate interactions
- Support recruiting events, career fairs, and other talent acquisition initiatives
- Partner with hiring managers across the full recruitment lifecycle, including interview coordination and offer support
- Maintain accurate candidate records and track recruitment metrics in the ATS
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on hiring strategies, market trends, and candidate expectations
- Contribute ideas and improvements to enhance recruiting efficiency and the overall candidate experience
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in recruiting, sourcing, or staffing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a confident phone presence
- Experience conducting candidate interviews and assessments
- Ability to craft engaging job postings and outreach messages
- Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions and meet deadlines
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical
- Comfortable using applicant tracking systems, spreadsheets, and recruiting tools
- Positive, energetic, and ethical approach to recruiting
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
