What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Accountant-Senior position at LHH?
We are assisting our client, a property management firm in Richmond, in finding an experienced Senior Property Accountant. The role allows the skilled candidate to perform at a high level, and have opportunities for growth. The company is steeped in history and is very stable. They offer an attractive base and bonus and are in an ideal location, accessible to shops and major highways.
The Property Accountant candidate will need to have 5 years of Accounting experience with an emphasis on Property Accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages
- Accrual and cash journal entries
- Reviewing operating statements and variance reports
- Prepare monthly income statement variance analysis.
- Perform CAM reconciliations
- Interact and communicate with property managers
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of two years of relevant and progressive professional experience in Property Accounting and 5 total in accounting
- Recent retail and/or multifamily accounting experience
Skills:
- Must be proficient in MS Excel
- Experience working in Real Estate related ERP systems a plus
