A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Production Planner to support operations at its Mebane, NC facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring production continuity across five manufacturing lines by balancing customer demand, production capacity, material availability, and inventory objectives. Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage production schedules to support manufacturing operations
- Create and execute production plans based on customer demand, capacity, and material availability
- Manage material replenishment and inventory planning activities
- Create and maintain purchase orders and monitor supplier deliveries
- Proactively identify and resolve material shortages, delays, and supply risks
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, Quality, Warehouse, Logistics, and Sales teams
- Monitor planning performance and adjust schedules as business priorities change
- Maintain planning data, production orders, and system accuracy within ERP platforms
- Analyze inventory levels and support initiatives to improve service, efficiency, and inventory performance
- Drive continuous improvement efforts through data analysis and collaboration
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or another analytical discipline preferred
- 5 years of experience in production planning, materials planning, purchasing, or supply chain planning
- Manufacturing experience required
- Strong understanding of MRP planning concepts and inventory management principles
- Experience utilizing ERP systems for planning and purchasing activities
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
- Experience collaborating with suppliers and managing delivery schedules
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certifications are a plus
