Accounting Analyst

Location: Tempe, AZ - onsite

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm (some flexibility)

Compensation: $25/hr - $30/hr

About the role

This position supports a high volume accounting team focused on pricing validation, billing accuracy, and accounts receivable related processes. This is not a traditional accounting role. It is heavily data driven and centered around reconciling transactions, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy across billing and revenue related activity.

What you will do

• Review and reconcile billing and pricing data to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Support accounts receivable processes including invoice validation and discrepancy resolution

• Analyze large data sets to identify pricing or billing inconsistencies and resolve issues

• Perform reconciliations across multiple systems, ensuring alignment between billing, transactions, and GL activity

• Complete manual matching and data corrections as needed

• Partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve billing questions or missing documentation

• Work across multiple systems and adapt to shifting priorities based on business needs

What you bring

• Strong ability to navigate systems, heavily utilizing Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables

• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, billing, accounts receivable, or pricing analysis

• Hands on experience with reconciliations, invoice review, and high volume transaction processing

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies

• Ability to work independently and manage large volumes of data

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, and Smartsheet

• MS Access experience is a plus

• Exposure to SQL is a strong plus

While the title is Accounting Analyst, the day to day work is more aligned with pricing validation, billing analysis, and accounts receivable support.
