LHH is conducting a search for a Plant Manager to lead operations at two critical energy generation facilities in New York. These plants play a key role in supplying reliable power to regional industrial operations. The Plant Manager will provide comprehensive oversight across operations, maintenance, engineering, compliance, and administrative functions, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable facility performance.
Location: Syracuse, NY & Beaver Falls, NY
Compensation: $153,900 – $184,600 annual salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of plant operations, maintenance, safety, environmental compliance, training, and technical programs.
- Maximize facility profitability through operational oversight, cost control, and process optimization.
- Manage planned and unplanned outages to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Administer operational agreements and contracts, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Develop and implement staffing, training, and qualification programs for plant personnel.
- Act as the primary interface with stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and the local community.
- Provide hands-on support to operations and maintenance teams, troubleshooting technical and administrative challenges.
- Complete special projects and maintain dependable attendance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Plant Manager at energy generation or industrial facilities.
- Demonstrated success managing technical teams, supervisory staff, and hourly personnel.
- Extensive experience in plant operations, including environmental management, budgeting, contract administration, and organizational development.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Results-oriented problem solver with experience driving operational improvements and managing change initiatives.
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required.
