What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Controller position at LHH?
LHH is partnering with our global manufacturing client in their search for a qualified Plant Controller to add to their growing team. Reporting to the Head of Controlling, the Plant Controller will be the financial lead at our manufacturing facility in Glasgow, KY. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that financial controls across the facility are followed and provide financial leadership on site, working along with other operational teams. This candidate will also be responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting for the site. This position offers tremendous career growth opportunity and competitive compensation/benefits/PTO.
Job Description
- Accurately report plant financial performance while identifying areas for improvement.
- Takes ownership of month end and year end close for the site and ensures all deadlines are met.
- Analyzes drivers behind variances, month to month, prior year, forecast, and budget.
- Develops and improves reporting in systems such as Salesforce, Business Intelligence, ERP system, and HR database.
- Works with the Head of Plant Controlling to formulate project plans and budgets. Support the Head of Plant Controlling with the management and coordination of the project plan with external partners
- Coordinates production of blueprint documents and SOWs in conjunction with the Head of Plant Controlling and external partners.
- Coordinates with other departments, including Sales, Production, Purchasing, Shipping, Customer Service and Technical Services.
- Assists in reducing slow moving and obsolete inventory, keeping inventory lean, and driving inventory accuracy.
- Maps out and enforces business processes that ensures a strong control environment. There will also be the requirement to constantly review and improve these processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (preferred)
- Manufacturing experience, standard costing, inventory controls (required)
- Experience in XA ERP, AS400, UKG payroll, and Salesforce is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
