Dental Patient Service Representative (Healthcare/Dental) :: Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 (100% Onsite)
NOTE: Interview will be ONSITE for this role.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Dental Customer Service Representative / Dental Claims Specialist to support Delta Dental's Denti-Cal program. In this role, you will leverage your dental office experience to assist members, providers, and representatives by resolving complex inquiries related to dental claims, treatment authorizations, billing, and program policies. The ideal candidate has a Dental Assisting background, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment while delivering exceptional service.
What You'll Do
- Respond to incoming calls from Denti-Cal beneficiaries, providers, and representatives regarding claims, treatment authorizations, billing, and program policies.
- Research and resolve complex customer inquiries while providing accurate and timely information.
- Process and review claims, Treatment Authorization Requests (TARs), Notices of Action (NOAs), and other dental documentation.
- Assist provider offices with claims status, Explanation of Benefits (EOB), payment inquiries, patient history, and enrolment questions.
- Schedule or reschedule regional dental screening appointments and refer callers to appropriate providers or agencies.
- Accurately document customer interactions in internal tracking systems.
- Support additional administrative and departmental projects as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- Dental Assisting Certificate from an accredited program or at least 2 years of dental assisting experience in a dental office.
- At least 1 year of customer service or communication experience.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, procedures, and dental office workflows.
- Experience with Denti-Cal/Medi-Cal, dental billing, claims processing, or treatment authorization requests is preferred.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn multiple systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed and successfully complete required dental knowledge and X-ray reading assessments.

💵 Pay Range: $19/hr. - $20/hr.
