Job Title: Master Production Scheduler
Location: Carol Stream, IL
Salary: $80,000- $110,000 Bonus
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Master Production Scheduler to join our client's organization in the Carol Stream, IL area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a master production plan to meet customer demand while minimizing inventory.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules aligned with plant capacity and sales forecasts.
- Determine inventory levels for finished goods, including safety stock.
- Create rolling three-month production plans based on sales forecasts and supply constraints.
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and Management to achieve business goals.
- Optimize production runs and minimize changeovers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Identify and communicate capacity constraints with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams.
- Maintain data integrity in scheduling systems to support corporate objectives.
- Track and report on key business performance indicators.
- Monitor raw material levels to ensure continuous production.
- Serve as the primary contact for production information and support shipping date requests.
- Order raw materials as needed to support production plans.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and participate in cross-functional teams to enhance customer service and efficiency.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 2 years’ experience; in lieu of a degree, 5-6 years of relevant experience required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management, preferably in manufacturing.
- APICS-CPIM certification highly desired.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop actionable plans.
- Collaborative leadership style with a focus on high goal setting and team empowerment.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills, assertiveness, and persuasion.
- Proficiency with production planning software and ERP systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
- Prior experience in metals manufacturing is highly desirable.
