What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Total Rewards position at LHH?

LHH is seeking a Total Rewards Manager to lead the design, implementation, and management of compensation, benefits, and rewards programs for an established organization. This role plays a key part in attracting, retaining, and motivating top talent by ensuring total rewards strategies are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives and organizational culture. The anticipated salary for this role is between $120,000-$135,000 a year.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, and recognition programs
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to HR and senior leadership on compensation and benefits matters
  • Oversee the design, administration, and continuous improvement of compensation structures, incentive plans, and annual compensation cycles (merit, bonus, promotions)
  • Manage employee benefits programs (health, wellness, retirement, and leave), including vendor partnerships, renewals, and open enrollment
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable compensation and benefits regulations, including pay transparency and equal pay requirements
  • Analyze workforce and rewards data to evaluate program effectiveness, competitiveness, and return on investment
  • Partner with HR and business leaders on job architecture, salary benchmarking, and pay governance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with external vendors to support program delivery and enhancements
  • Maintain policies, documentation, internal controls, and support audits and regulatory reporting
  • Lead, develop, and support team members while driving clear and effective communication of total rewards programs to employees


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5–7 years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards
  • Experience supporting multi-state or global workforces
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Effective communication skills across written, verbal, and digital formats
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively in team environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with ERP or HRIS systems
