A well-established litigation firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to provide administrative and secretarial support to a team of litigators. This role focuses primarily on business litigation in state and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary legal secretary assistance to principal attorneys and backup attorneys.
- Prepare, format, and edit litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery, and tables of authorities.
- Review and finalize pleadings; coordinate service and filing.
- Manage court e-filings for state and federal courts.
- Retrieve and circulate documents from court services and websites.
- Process daily mail and emails; maintain electronic and physical matter files.
- Coordinate with paralegals on calendaring and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and e-filing systems.
- Proficiency in Clio (document management and calendaring), Best Authority, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation secretary experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Salary Range: $90,000–$105,000
- Benefits: 401(k) with 3% safe harbor, profit sharing, health benefits, 15 PTO days to start.
Schedule
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
- Hours: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM (7.5-hour day with one-hour lunch)
