🔍 Your Core Responsibilities
Legal Billing (Primary Focus)
- Prepare and finalize monthly pre-bills and invoices per attorney/client guidelines
- Handle e-billing processes and portals
- Perform conflict checks and set up new client matters
- Respond to billing inquiries and ensure accuracy in submissions
Accounting Support
- Daily deposits using check reader
- Enter and monitor payables/receivables in QuickBooks and firm systems
- Assist with IOLTA account monitoring and reconciliation
Administrative
- Support payroll, insurance, HR benefits, onboarding/offboarding
- Assist with firm-wide initiatives like tech projects, marketing, events, and budgets
- Opportunity to mentor or manage other billers as the team grows
🧩 What Makes You a Great Fit
- 3 years of legal billing experience (non-negotiable)
- Experience in a law firm environment—you understand urgency and confidentiality
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Adobe
- Familiarity with ProLaw, Elite, or similar billing systems (QuickBooks is a bonus)
- Excellent writing and communication skills—this is a client- and partner- facing role
- Naturally proactive: You see a gap and step in before being asked
- Confident, organized, and collaborative—this team helps each other and cross-trains regularly
