Legal Assistant (Pittsburgh, PA)
Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000 base bonus eligibility
A prestigious, nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to join its Pittsburgh office on a hybrid basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support a dynamic group of attorneys in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Position Overview
The Legal Assistant will provide high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys, ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of client matters. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and presentations
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, and travel arrangements
- Handle document management, including organizing electronic and physical files
- Assist with court filings, including e-filing in state and federal courts
- Coordinate with clients, court personnel, vendors, and internal teams
- Maintain client files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Track deadlines and support attorneys in meeting court and client requirements
- Enter and track attorney time, assist with billing coordination as needed
- Support general administrative functions, including expense reports and matter management
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a legal assistant or administrative assistant in a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong knowledge of legal document formatting and court filing procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and document management systems
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Additional Information:
Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
