Location: Nashville, TN (preferred) | Atlanta, GA or Birmingham, AL also considered
Work Model: Hybrid (generally 3 days onsite; flexibility available)
Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 base
Travel: Minimal / occasional
Overview
A well-established professional services firm is seeking a mid-level IT Trainer to support attorneys and staff through structured, high-impact technology training. This role focuses on system rollouts, refresher training, and professional development, rather than full-time new hire orientation.
The ideal candidate has prior law firm experience and is comfortable delivering virtual, in-person, and one-on-one training in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver in-person, virtual (Teams), and one-on-one technology training for attorneys and staff
- Conduct system rollout training and refresher courses across firm-standard applications
- Deliver professional development workshops focused on technology best practices
- Coordinate and schedule follow-up training sessions
- Provide floor support and responsive end-user assistance as needed
- Promote best practices and coach end users on effective technology utilization
- Collaborate with HR to assess technical capabilities and develop learning action plans
- Assist with curriculum design, training documentation, and software upgrade materials
- Create eLearning content and training videos (Camtasia experience a plus)
- Maintain class schedules, attendance, and feedback within the firm’s LMS (Easy LMS)
- Support the Training Manager with specialized training initiatives
- Recommend process and service improvements to enhance end-user experience
- Respond to special training requests and other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Previous law firm experience is required (AmLaw 200 preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Strong experience delivering end-user technical training
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Windows 11
- Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with legal applications such as:
- NetDocuments
- Litera
- Intapp
- ServiceNow (a plus)
- Experience developing eLearning content is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong client-service mindset and collaborative approach
- Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Willingness to occasionally travel and work extended hours when needed
