HR Payroll Coordinator - CONTRACT
LHH Recruitment is assisting with a search for a HR Payroll Coordinator for an Financial Services Team in Overland Park, KS. This job will be fully on-site and support the whole HR team. You will be responsible primarily for processing payroll but also assist with a number of HR functions including recruiting, HRIS management, onboarding, new hire orientation, benefits and more. This will be a 3 month project with potential to go permanent for the right person. Pay starts at $25/hour and goes up based on experience. Read below for additional details!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Semi-monthly processing of payroll and the collection of billing summaries, the setup and maintenance of employee files, data entry into the HRIS and payroll systems and provides general support to all members of the HR department
- Assist with employee onboarding and new hire orientation
- Supports human resources processes by maintaining paper and electronic records and general confidential information
- Substantiates applicants’ submitted information
- Interfaces with new employees during their onboarding process
- Welcomes new employees to the organization by planning and scheduling the orientation processes
- Collects and enters payroll information from time records to status or deduction changes and general information
- Submits employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data
- Maintains employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data
- Provides administrative support by entering, formatting, and printing information
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
- Maintains quality service by following department and organization standards
- Participates in process improvement
- Assists with scheduling interviews
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 year experience in payroll processing is required
- Bachelor degree preferred - internship or equivalent work experience; high school diploma required
- Knowledge of HR laws in various states, benefits administration, FMLA, and employee relations
- Proficient Computer Skills in Microsoft Office, Recruitment systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills required. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels within the organization.
- Sound professional judgment and decision making in a high volume and deadline driven recruiting environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills – demonstrated attention to detail and thoroughness in a professional capacity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
