Job Title: HR and Payroll Coordinator
Duration: Direct Hire
Location: Onsite – NW Portland, OR
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full Time
Pay: $24 - $28 per hour plus bonus
Benefits: 100% paid medical premiums for employees, HSA with company contribution, LTD, FSA, 401k, PTO 13 holidays
Overview:
LHH Recruitment is seeking a a full-time, onsite HR and Payroll Coordinator for our great client based in NW Portland. This direct hire position offers excellent benefits, including fully paid medical premiums. You’ll support daily HR operations and play a key role in payroll administration.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain payroll records and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinate with Finance for payroll funding and reporting.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Benefits Administration
- Manage enrollment, changes, and terminations in health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding benefits questions and issues.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment and communicate benefit updates.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and other applicable regulations.
HR Support
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems.
- Assist with audits related to payroll and benefits.
- Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
- 2 years of Payroll, Accounting, and/or Bookkeeping experience
- Exposure to HR functions such as benefits is a big plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HRIS
- Ability to work onsite in NW Portland
- Reliable, professional, and eager to learn
