Financial Analyst :: Mays Landing, NJ :: Hybrid (Monday & Friday Remote | Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday In-Office)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities within a utility operations environment. This role will work closely with a collaborative team to analyse large data sets, monitor project financial performance, and provide actionable insights that support business decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Excel, possesses strong analytical skills, and is eager to learn and grow in a dynamic financial environment.

What You Will Do

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities for various operational programs and projects.
• Analyse large financial and operational data sets to identify trends, variances, and performance drivers.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, presentations, and management reporting packages.
• Monitor project financial performance and assist in forecasting project costs, revenue, and overall financial outcomes.
• Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support business initiatives and operational decisions.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
• Support financial audits, compliance activities, and documentation requirements.
• Maintain and update financial databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and analyse financial information.
• Provide ongoing support to senior financial analysts and business stakeholders as needed.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1.5 years of experience in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, or related finance functions.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modelling.
• Experience forecasting project financials, managing budgets, and performing variance analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large and complex data sets.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Self-motivated learner with a proactive approach to supporting financial initiatives and process improvements.

📍 Location: Mays Landing, NJ :: Hybrid (Monday & Friday Remote | Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday In-Office)

💵 Pay: $32/hr. - $34/hr.
