Location: Elkridge, MD (Onsite)
Job Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full-Time
Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000 base bonus and full benefits (medical, dental, vision, pto and holidays, etc)
About the Role
LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator to join our client's growing team in Elkridge, MD. This position will play a key role in supporting pre-construction efforts by preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure competitive and timely project bids.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project drawings, specifications, and scope of work
- Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze labor, material, and subcontractor costs
- Review architectural and construction plans to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, project management, and operations) to develop competitive proposals
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor bids
- Maintain accurate documentation of estimates, pricing, and project details
- Assist in developing proposals, budgets, and bid packages
- Track project timelines and ensure deadlines are met for all estimates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred)
- 3 years of experience in construction (estimating preferred, but open to related backgrounds such as Project Engineer or Assistant PM)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
