Role: Director of Sales
Work Location: Warren County, NJ
Salary Range: $95,000 to $100,000
The Director of Sales supports the organization in the achievement of occupancy and growth objectives, philosophy, and care standards. You will direct the sales program, disseminate information to the public regarding the community; perform sales functions, source and follow up on leads, interview potential residents, provide information and sell vacant cottages/apartments and Assisted Living Suites.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Executive Director on the strategic plan, vision, including fostering and cultivating relationships inside and outside our community.
- Manage appropriate metrics and reports to measure progress against goals and objectives and to ensure desired outcomes are met.
- Implement sales strategies, analyze market information, and make recommendations for achieving occupancy and growth objectives.
- Search out qualified leads from a variety of sources.
- Initiate and maintain contact with prospective residents, referral sources and others.
- Show apartments, cottages and Assisted Living Suites to prospective residents, guests, and others
- Receive calls and inquiries from prospective residents, their families, and their advisors; provide information, answer questions, overcome objections and close sales.
- Interview and review records of prospective residents for approval; paperwork includes applications, contracts, financial reports, lead tracking and sales reports.
- Under direction from the Executive Director and advertising partners, write and update annual sales plan.
- Oversee and facilitate the acceptance process for new residents; ensure that apartments are ready for occupancy as contracted with prospective residents.
- Monitor and manage the budget of the department; prepare monthly financial reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years’ progressive management experience in sales. Experience in senior living industry, a must.
- BA in related in marketing, business administration, or related field required.
- Demonstrated record of working within a ‘performance-measured’ environment and experience with reporting/metrics/data management, with a strong outcomes’ perspective.
- Effective sales closing methods; ability to overcome objections in sales process; knowledge of contracts for continuing or lifecare communities.
- PC literate with knowledge of MS Office and CRM program.
- Strong leadership skills and strategic, sales and relationship management, long-range planning capability with exceptional innovation skills.
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and high level of integrity and dependability.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
- Ability to respond to and work with a mature resident population, contributing to a warm, caring and supportive environment for the enjoyment of the residents/clients and to promote this philosophy to all team members.
- Ability to recognize and respond to the needs of all clients of the organization, including the Board of Directors, team members, Residents, Members, Patients, local community, and vendors.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team setting and possess strong interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to respond to and work with a mature resident population, contributing to a warm, caring, and supportive environment for the enjoyment of the residents and to promote this philosophy to all team members.
- Valid driver’s license.
