This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting while also providing forward-looking insights to support decision-making across the business. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, commercially savvy, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This individual should be a self-starter who can think independently, take initiative, and adapt quickly as the business evolves. This is a permanent position offering a salary of $150,000 to $170,000 plus bonus and an equity stake!

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Controllership

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Oversee general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
• Manage audit process, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of supporting schedules
• Enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Oversee AR, AP, and transactional accounting functions, including evaluation and implementation of automation tools
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are fully supported and reconciled on a timely basis
• Support daily/weekly cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
• Assist in managing borrowing base, lender reporting, and compliance requirements

FP&A & Business Analytics

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
• Develop and maintain financial models, including cash flow forecasting and scenario analysis
• Provide monthly variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) with clear, actionable insights
• Partner with Sales and Operations to translate commercial activity into financial impact
• Support pricing, margin analysis, and cost optimization initiatives \
• Build and enhance reporting dashboards to improve visibility into key performance drivers
• Drive process improvements across finance and accounting to increase efficiency and scalability
• Lead evaluation and implementation of systems (e.g., ERP enhancements, AR/AP automation tools)
• Build repeatable, scalable processes to support company growth

Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably within CPG, manufacturing, or distribution
• Blend of public accounting and industry experience preferred
• Strong technical accounting foundation (GAAP) combined with FP&A expertise
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
• Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into business insights
