Director of Accounting

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Director of Accounting to join a growing organization within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) space. CPG experience is a must. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with a foundation in public accounting and hands-on experience supporting technical accounting matters and rebate accounting.

This role will play a key part in supporting the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and strengthening processes and controls in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will work closely with senior finance leadership and partner cross-functionally to support business operations and financial decision-making

Key Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting activities
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Provide technical accounting support and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Support rebate accounting processes and related analysis
• Partner with internal teams and external auditors as needed
• Contribute to process improvements and internal control enhancements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• CPA preferred
• CPG Industry experience
• Background in public accounting strongly desired
• Experience with technical accounting and rebate accounting
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Compensation:

$170,000-$180,000

PTO is offered on an accrual basis
