We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Customs Broker / Freight Forwarding Specialist to join a dynamic logistics team in Milwaukee, WI. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of international shipping, customs regulations, and freight coordination.
? Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and process import/export documentation in compliance with U.S. Customs and international regulations
- Coordinate international shipments via air, ocean, and ground freight
- Communicate with customs officials, carriers, and clients to ensure timely clearance and delivery
- Classify goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
- Track and trace shipments, resolve delays, and proactively communicate updates to clients
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, duties, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations
- 2 years of experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding
- Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and international trade compliance
- Familiarity with freight management systems and documentation platforms
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Licensed Customs Broker (preferred but not required)
Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
