About the Role:
LHH is assisting an AmLaw Corporate Transactional law firm seek a Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Attorney to support their legal team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an experienced attorney who thrives in fast-paced environments and is well-versed in handling complex corporate transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate M&A transaction documents including NDAs, LOIs, purchase agreements, and disclosure schedules
- Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments
- Advise on deal structure, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure smooth transaction execution
- Support post-closing integration and documentation
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Texas
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate law with a strong focus on M&A transactions
- Proven ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines independently
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Familiarity with private equity, venture capital, and cross-border transactions is a plus
Logistics & Compensation:
- Contract Duration: Project-based or ongoing support....can be in Dallas or Houston
- Compensation: Targeting $90–$150/hour depending on experience and scope
