LHH is assisting a highly regarded AmLaw 200 law firm in its search for a Commercial Real Estate Associate to join its Newark, New Jersey office. This role sits within a well‑established real estate practice that advises institutional lenders, developers, and investors on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
The associate will work closely with partners and senior attorneys on a broad range of transactional matters and will have direct exposure to complex deal execution and client interaction.
The Opportunity
Attorneys in this group regularly handle:
- Complex commercial real estate finance transactions
- Acquisitions and dispositions of commercial properties
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial loan documents
- Reviewing and analyzing title and survey matters
- Conducting loan due diligence and coordinating closing requirements
Compensation & Benefits Snapshot
- Base salary range: $175,000 to $185,000 annually, depending on experience

Candidate Requirements
- At least 3 years of law firm experience handling commercial real estate transactions
- Strong drafting, review, and negotiation skills for loan and transaction documents
- Experience reviewing title, survey, and due diligence materials
- Active New Jersey Bar admission required, New York Bar admission is a plus
- JD from an accredited law school
