Civil Construction Estimator – Site Development / Heavy Civil
📍 Sarasota, FL | Full-Time
We are seeking a Civil Construction Estimator to support heavy civil and site development projects throughout Southwest Florida. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented estimator with Agtek or HeavyBid experience who can produce accurate, competitive bids and collaborate closely with project and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and complete bid packages for civil/site projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs from civil drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Price labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and trucking
- Analyze production rates, construction methods, sequencing, and logistics
- Identify scope gaps, risks, and assumptions within bid documents
- Review and level subcontractor and vendor proposals
- Partner with project managers and field leadership during preconstruction

Qualifications
- 3 years of estimating experience in heavy civil or site development
- Agtek or HeavyBid experience required
- Strong ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
- Engineering or construction-related background preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Local candidates preferred or candidates planning to relocate to the area
