We are seeking a highly skilled Cash Applications Manager to lead the Accounts Receivable cash application operations for our client in South Charlotte. This role will manage a team of specialists and ensure accurate, timely posting of payments to customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in high-volume environments, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop a team of cash application analysts.
- Oversee cash application processes
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Reconcile unapplied cash and deposits; resolve discrepancies with customers and internal teams.
- Implement best practices to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Lead automation initiatives
- Partner with collections, billing, and finance teams to resolve payment issues.
- Prepare and analyze cash application reports for leadership review.
- Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 5 years in cash application or accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in shared services or high-volume environments preferred.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
