What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bankruptcy/Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant position at LHH?
I’m working with a well-established law practice seeking a Commercial Litigation Assistant or Bankruptcy Legal Assistant to support its Bankruptcy Department.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong litigation experience who is looking to expand into bankruptcy matters (prior bankruptcy experience is helpful but not required, as commercial litigation skills translate well).
📍 Remote eligible after 6 months (1 day/week)
Key Responsibilities:
• Support 4–5 attorneys in a busy bankruptcy and commercial litigation practice
• Provide administrative, secretarial, and litigation support functions
• Assist with state and federal court filings and case management
• Help manage receivership estate bank accounts, billing, and related financial coordination
• Communicate with clients, creditors, and external parties with professionalism and poise
• Prioritize and manage competing deadlines across multiple matters
Qualifications:
• Experience in commercial litigation preferred (bankruptcy exposure a plus)
• Familiarity with state and federal court procedures
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to handle sensitive financial and case information
• Professional, team-oriented, and adaptable mindset
• Strong communication skills and client-facing maturity
