LHH is assisting a law firm in Springfield, Missouri in their search for an ambitious Commercial Transactions Associate Attorney. This role offers hands-on experience, meaningful client interaction, and a robust mentorship program designed to accelerate growth for early-career and experienced attorneys alike.
What you’ll do
- Meet with prospective and existing clients and manage ongoing communications
- Draft, negotiate, and revise commercial transaction documents; assist with closings
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and notices for state and federal courts
- Conduct legal research and draft concise research memorandums
- Prepare deposition summaries and perform investigatory research
- Draft real estate, entity formation, and corporate governance documents
- Support and, as assigned, conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
What will help you succeed
- JD and active license to practice law
- Strong written and verbal communication, with excellent organization and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw)
- High integrity, discretion with confidential matters, and a collaborative, self-starting mindset
