Assistant Controller | San Fernando Valley, CA
Growing company seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee general ledger accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support. This role will manage accounting operations across AP, AR, fixed assets, payroll, and compliance while leading a small accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end close and general ledger activities
- Review account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Supervise accounting staff and daily accounting operations
- Lead annual audit process and support external auditors
- Improve accounting processes, controls, and procedures
- Oversee sales tax, business tax, and property tax compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 5 years of accounting management experience
- Strong GAAP knowledge
- Experience overseeing GL, AP, AR, payroll, and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience required
