Controller Assistant Controller

The Controller Assistant Controller plays a crucial role in supporting the financial leadership by managing various accounting and financial control tasks. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position involves overseeing daily accounting operations, coordinating a medium-sized team, and assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities. The role also includes periodic audit involvement and ensures robust internal controls and data accuracy to support sound financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor budget adherence
• Support audit processes through documentation and data provision
• Maintain and improve internal control systems
• Reconcile accounts to verify correctness and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor compliance with financial policies and regulations
• Analyze costs and financial data to inform decision-making
• Coordinate daily activities of a medium-sized finance team (4-7 members)
• Provide financial planning support and data analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in accounting and financial control
• Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger management
• Strong knowledge of compliance and internal controls
• Experience with account reconciliation
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Effective communication skills
