We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager with strong expertise in cash applications to lead an AR team. This role is critical for ensuring accurate and timely application of customer payments, maintaining clean accounts, and driving efficiency in collections and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing AR operations, optimizing cash application workflows, and implementing best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the cash application process, ensuring accurate and timely posting of customer payments to accounts.
- Manage and mentor the AR team, focusing on efficiency and accuracy in invoicing, collections, and payment application.
- Monitor and reconcile unapplied cash, short payments, and discrepancies.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve cash application and reduce unapplied balances.
- Collaborate with finance, sales, and customer service teams to resolve payment issues and disputes.
- Prepare and analyze AR and cash application reports for management, including aging, unapplied cash, and collection metrics.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to AR and cash application.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and leverage technology to streamline AR operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 8 years of AR experience, including 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role with a focus on cash application.
- Strong knowledge of AR processes, cash application workflows, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
