Accounts Receivable Clerk
Location: Riverside
Pay: $25-30/hour, based on experience
Contract to hire
Construction industry experience required
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management: Facilitate all aspects of construction-related billing and collections.
Project Accounting: Handle the setup, maintenance, and billing for projects, working closely with Project Managers to ensure accuracy.
Invoice Processing: Prepare and verify invoices for both construction and service contracts in compliance with contract terms.
Lien Waiver Management: Prepare and process lien waivers while ensuring subcontractor and supplier documentation aligns with California Mechanic’s Lien Laws.
Cost Monitoring: Track job costs, address billing milestones with superintendents, and manage over- and under-billing issues.
Collections: Follow up on overdue invoices, make collection calls, and maintain positive cash flow.
Project Closeout: Collaborate with operations to finalize project records and ensure audit-ready documentation.
Additional Tasks: Support the Controller and AR Manager with special projects and other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; further training in Accounts Receivable is an advantage.
2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally within the construction industry.
Proficient in managing high workloads and fast-paced environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Skilled in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
