Accounting Clerk
The Accounting Clerk supports the dealership network by ensuring accurate and timely processing of deals, maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards, and assisting with general accounting tasks. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $19 and $22/hr.
Responsibilities
- Process vehicle deals, including verifying documentation, reviewing financial details, and ensuring all required paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Provide responsive and professional customer service to dealership staff and customers regarding deal status, payment inquiries, and related accounting matters.
- Review and reconcile deal packets for accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations.
- Assist with posting transactions, data entry, and maintaining records in the accounting system.
- Support other accounting functions as needed, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and maintain smooth workflow across departments.
- Perform light administrative tasks related to accounting operations, such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in automotive dealership accounting or similar environment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
