Quality Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Technician role in Greensboro, NC. This is a fully on-site, direct hire position with a great company! This role helps manage quality issues within the company and with customers. You'll handle quality concerns on the shop floor, work with suppliers on claims, keep testing equipment calibrated, and track data to improve processes. You also have the authority to stop production or shipments if products don't meet quality standards. We are looking for at least 2 years of experience in quality, ideally with manufacturing and metals experience. Must have experience with ISO 9001. Responsibilities:Make sure products and packaging meet industry and customer quality requirements.Investigate daily quality problems in the warehouse and processing areas.Perform line inspections and determine if issues meet claim guidelines.Work with Sales and Operations to decide what to do with rejected material.Issue Quality Alerts and Deviations when needed.Log rejected customer material and enter NCRs into the system.Handle quality claims with suppliers and prepare materials to be returned.Keep measuring and testing equipment calibrated and functioning correctly.Coordinate GR&R activities and gather data for capability studies.Help create metal specification standards and verify purchased materials.Process customer claims, issue claims to vendors, and manage returned materials.Collect and analyze data to support improvements.Request and submit samples for problem-solving.Support sharing best practices, technology improvements, and 5S initiatives.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Qualifications:At least High school diploma or GED required.At least 1-2 years of experience in Quality.Manufacturing experience required.ISO9001 experience required.Strong math skills.Experience initiating quality claims and writing corrective action reports.Experience with continuous improvement activities.Strong organizational skills.Able to work independently.Able to understand and interpret technical information.Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per weekSearch managed by: Kristin Yates Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledMilitary connected talent encouraged to applyTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacyThe Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:The California Fair Chance ActLos Angeles City Fair Chance OrdinanceLos Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for EmployersSan Francisco Fair Chance OrdinanceMassachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
